Residence permit

You have just come to DK and in order to stay in here, you will need this little thing called residence permit. 

The following criteria apply for EU citizens!

If you are beginning your studies at a college or a university,  the institution helps you to get the permit, usually by arranging one day where all the paperwork is taken care off. 

However, in case you need to arrange this on your own, most likely you  will apply for one of the following types of permit: Education; Working; Self financially sustainable. 

For all of the types residence permit types you are going to need: CPR number,  residence address in Denmark, your passport, 2x passport pictures and to now the date of your arrival to the country. 

(If it is the first time you are applying  than the CPR number will be given to you the moment you get your permit)

In addition to the above mentioned , there are some additional papers  neccessary in order to ge the  permit. 

In relation to the permit based on your studies, you will need confirmation of admission.

In relation to work permit, you will need work contract.

In relation to Self financially sustainable permit you  will need prove that you have financial funds high enough to support yourself. Most likely proved by your bank. 

- in case of ending up unemployed, you apply for this type  of permit, where you use a document from your A-kasse proving that you are going to get unemployment benefit. 

( Note: you need to  have a residence permit in order to be able to get the unemployment benefit)
